Phew! It's been a busy week around here! I've been doing a lot of sewing, but unfortunately I can't show you much of it! Certain people may or may not read my blog, and I don't want to ruin any Christmas presents! :) I did make a little something for myself though, another drawstring bag! I wanted to use the new ruler twill tape I bought from Little Red Cottage. I paired it with Far Far Away III and Circa 1934! Tutorial/pattern here!

Loving the blocks I'm receiving from the lovely ladies in the Twice Around the Block Bee! Been playing around with neutrals lately!

Made salted caramels again today! But this time I used this silicon pan I picked up at Joanns! It worked perfect, so much easier than messing with wax paper! I like this recipe!

  1. Oh i love that bag! Well done you!

  2. Jeni, I love those blocks from twice around the block bee! I've been meaning to ask around, I'd love to join a bee for 2012, do you know of any that are just getting started? I'm a little mystified as to how to jump in one! ;) I'd love any pointers you could offer! Thanks!

  3. How I love that vintage tin- just perfect!! Makes you smile for sure :) Have a great one!

  4. Ah, George. I love that you post pictures of him.

  5. Well ...I had lots to say and then I saw George..........and then I saw caramels....and all stopped there!

  6. What a quaint little bag, love the tape measure tape part of it so much, too. Love the fabrics and that tin, oh my, is so adorable.

Caramels I'm dying to make once I get a moment to do.

George, how adorable you are. Precious little bunny.

  7. Ah! Cuteness overload! The drawstring bag is really cute, those fabrics are so great together and I love that ruler tape! The bee quilt is going to be great, such pretty neutrals and geometry. :-)

  8. Thank you so much for mentioning my shop, Jeni! I adore the little drawstring bag with the twill...your bunny is adorable too, reminds me our black bunny, Mr. Man, years ago. :)

  9. I love that bag - I have made four now, and might make another one soon! Salted caramels yummy x

  10. Yumm!! I just made caramel sauce using the dry method for the first time it's so easy I wonder if it would work for candies?

  11. Hey, I thrifted that very same tin a few weeks ago--however, mine did not have a lid. But, I grabbed it up without the lid, love it!

  12. Hi Jeni - Just bought your drawstring pouch pattern this weekend and I've already whipped up almost six (two are still in progress :)) in two different sizes. Thanks so much for the great pattern! I didn't know you could use those molds for caramels. What a good idea. I usually just use a pyrex 9x13 and lots of butter!

  13. Love the new bag, the trim is perfect :)

  14. Ohhh I've just gotten some of those same voiles. I am so in love with them right now! I had never considered a quilt out of them but might have to do so. I was collecting to start sewing blouses and dresses once the Christmas rush is over...
