New Quilts by Jeni Baker
New Quilts, a photo by Jeni Baker on Flickr.
First and foremost, thanks for all your sweet words on my Washi dress and clutch! I was super tickled to be featured on the Hawthorne Threads blog the next day, aren't they sweet? They even have my fabric listed in their shop!! Makes it all seem so real!

This weekend was so crazy busy! I quilted, and quilted some more.  Both quilts for my new pattern have been quilted, bound, and washed.  Now for the weather to cooperate for proper photos! I felt like a new quilter all over again between crazy tension issues yesterday (culprit being a thicker than usual vintage sheet backing), and some color bleeding issues today.  It's always good to be reminded that everyone makes mistakes!

PS - Hoping to have the pattern ready for Wednesday. Thanks for your patience!

  1. What adorable tins.

Great cards that make me think about them for Sewing Summit as well.

Oh, a new twist on your bag?

Your knitting makes me want to sit down and try it once again and knit versus knot.

    And sweet George...

  2. Ahhh!!! I am in LOVE with that pieced drawstring bag! Seriously. No, SERIOUSLY. I was loving the "It's a Hoot" one that I just whipped up, but now my happy party just ended and I'm going to have to imitate yours. You know what they say about imitation, right? ;)

Also loving your new business cards.
I also like how your nail polish on your toes seems to match in with the quilt you have on your lap.

  5. Lately, I've been making drawstring bags like crazy, and of all days, I started making a "string" drawstring bag just this morning!! Every time I make a new bag, my 10-year old daughter "oohs & ahhs" and asks "Mommy, is that for me?" How can I resist? Thanks so much for the inspiration.

The colour you're using for your cowl is beautiful and what a great site! I've just started crocheting and thinking about picking up knitting, will have to make an account.

  19. I feel like a 5 year old. I got so excited when I read you were on Ravelry and you knit. I love the cowl pattern. It's going to be so pretty. Right now I seem addicted to hexagons. I guess that will pass in time but I'm having so much fun making them. Pretty soon I'll have to decide what I'm going to make with them. I love your new business cards. They are impressive! Looking forward to the new tutorials on the bag. Love the bag!!!
