Weekly Snapshot

Time to get my sew on.
Happy Wednesday! I'm going to attempt to bring back weekly snapshot, again! This time though, I know weekly is a bit unrealistic, so I'm trying for every other week. We'll see how it goes!

#widrn making quilt backs! Tagged by @jaceynotjc, tagging @mybricole @bijoulovely @noodlehead531
I took some time to make some quilt backs yesterday. I've let the quilt tops pile up again, so it's time to get that pile down again!

Today's color palette. #artgalleryfabrics #pureelements
Played with this pretty palette of solids last week! All Pure Elements by Art Gallery Fabrics.

Finally got around to framing some artwork. Now to decide where to hang these! Be inspired by @bijoulovely. George bunnies by @petitdesignco, @junecraft and @sometimescraftr.
I did manage to get new (and old) artwork framed, but unfortunately it's still not hung up. That's this weekend's goal! I swear!

I can never resist a good vintage tin. And this one is so tiny!
I found this tin over the summer, but it's too good not to share. It's tiny and I love it. It matches this one I found a few years ago. It's still one of my favorites.

My life long dream to label all the things has come true today!
I finally, after years and years of wanting one, bought a label maker! WOO! Seriously, I was very excited. I went with this one and already bought a double pack of extra tape. Now I can label all the things.

Yowza Whatta Skein is the perfect description for this yarn cake. Even George thinks so! #missbabsyarn #georgebunny #bunstagram
George bunny! I was trying to get him to pose next to this absolutely giant skein of yarn (it's literally called Yowza Whatta Skein by Miss Babs), but then he jumped right on top of it. Silly rabbit. Made for a better photo anyways!

Have a great week!

  5. Can I request a photo of bunny with each bi-weekly post? Cause the only thing better than sewing photos is sewing photos with fur babies. =D

  10. I love labellers! They make everything look neat. Handwritten labels make everything look sloppy. The tape is expensive. I prefer black on white, 12mm.
Buy lots of tape--it's a bummer when you run out. Great for files, jars, containers, ...
I love George. What's the story on him? I have a George pillow.

  11. It may be nerdy to be excited over a label maker, but count me in! I have that very same label maker and I use it so often. I tend to go in spurts--all of a sudden I look around and realize I have a new batch of stuff that needs labeling. I waited for a long time before I bought one and I don't know why; labels made with it make things look very spiffy.

  12. Love reading your blog...and George, he warms my heart and I think my kitty would love to have a George to play and snuggle with!

  13. I was feeling sorry for George, perched up there like an elephant on a stool, until I read that he did it to himself.
