Happy Friday! Hooray, hoorah! The Curiosities LookBook put together by Art Gallery Fabrics is live! It's full to burst with projects and patterns made with Curiosities to get your creative juices flowing! What will you make with the collection? Over the next few weeks I have a few tutorials to share with you, so keep your eye out for those! You can view the whole lookbook below, and I've included some of my favorite shots here as well! Enjoy!

All photos in this post were taken by Art Gallery Fabrics.

The pattern/tutorial information for the projects can be found in the LookBook!

My Offset quilt hanging out!

How cute is this pink stand?

Such a sweet little dress!

That sewing machine is too perfect!

I think this top might just change my mind about peplum tops!

We had to include plenty of drawstring bags, of course!

Simple, sweet, and oh so vintage!

Have a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to see what you all make with this collection! Did you spot the bunny in most of these photos? ;)

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth
I can't believe it's already been nearly a month since Quilt Market! Time has absolutely flown by since then. I have been preparing to be in Ohio for a week and a half, so a few things fell by the wayside, including posting about my Curiosities booth! Today I want to share some photos! I'll got into detail about the projects later this month.

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth
I had an exterior wall of the large Art Gallery Fabrics booth. It's really nice to be able to decorate a flat wall vs. a three dimensional booth. It was great being able to drive and bring my own furniture without having to worry about going to Ikea or bringing things in my suitcase. I wanted the projects to really pop, so I went with navy for the walls. I kept the projects sweet and simple. I felt that this best represented the cheerful, playful nature of the collection. Plus, with limited time and resources, it made the most sense anyways!

Okay, let's just get to the photos!

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth
This section of the wall had more of the smaller projects, including my new quilted logo, some embroidery hoops, and a "Just Today" print I'll be sharing as a free download soon!

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth
I made this inspiration board out of an old frame and some chicken wire. It was a fun project, and I have it hanging in our hallway now with other photos. For the booth I used it to display some inspiration photos, including the photo of George I used to create his print! You can find a tutorial for it here.

A few more small projects, including a tiny drawstring bag! The pincushions will be a tutorial next month!

A full shot of my new mini pattern, Offset. I quilted it my machine with some straight lines and then finished it up by tying in each square.

George's pillow, and his friend! Also I made a baby version of Geese in Flight!

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth
A couple of fun throw pillows, one using my Mystery Quilted Pillow Pattern, and even one made from knits!

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth
I used some of the knits from the collection for the simple t-shirt (which is a Scout Tee by Grainline Studio done in knit), and some City Gym Shorts. I also made a knit drawstring bag!

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth
A sweet pillow made from a single block from my Florette pattern.

Curiosities Quilt Market Booth
One of my favorite projects I made for the booth was this quilt-as-you-go duffle bag. I used Simplicity 2274. (You can also buy it as a PDF here.) I reviewed the pattern a few years back, here.

New Quilt Patterns

New Quilt Patterns
Happy Thursday! This is a busy week! New fabric yesterday, and new patterns today! It's funny how things stack up sometimes! I wasn't sure if I'd be able to pull anything together for this Spring, but here we are, and I have two new quilt patterns for you!

Available for wholesale as well, email me for details.

Gaggle of Geese Quilt
My newest full size pattern is Geese in Flight. This quilt may look familiar to you, it graced the cover of Issue 3 of Love Patchwork & Quilting about a year and a half ago! I love this quilt, and now that it's harder to find that issue, I've decided to release it as a stand alone pattern! Geese in Flight features traditional flying geese blocks, with no sashing or borders. Learn to make no-waste flying geese and show off your favorite fabrics. There are five sizes to choose from, so you have lots of options!

The original quilt is stitched up in Urban Mod by AGF In-House, with Pure Element Snow for the solid.

Geese in Flight Quilt Pattern
I'm currently stitching up a baby quilt with it using some Curiosities strikeoffs. It came together so fast. Now to decide how to quilt it!

Geese in Flight is available as a PDF and Printed Pattern.

Offset Quilt Pattern
My new postcard pattern is Offset. This pattern is a bit of a twist on a design I did for Quilty, nearly two years ago! You can see the original version here. I switched things up a bit, and the result is a quick and easy strip quilt! As with all my mini patterns, the quilts are very beginner friendly and don't use a ton of fabric. Offset finishes at 61” x 84”.

I'm stitching up Offset right now, in Curiosities. I finished my top a few days ago! I had to shrink mine a little bit to work with the fabric I had, which included a few pieced together blocks. If you have the correct amount of fabric you won't have those extra seams! ;)

Offset Quilt Pattern
Offset is available as a PDF and Printed Pattern.

Catching Up!

Block of Boston

Happy Monday! Now that we've finally made it through all things quilt market related, we can get caught up on a few other things I've been waiting to share with you! You'd think that considering it's been over a month since we've chatted about anything else, that I'd have loads of other projects to share, but things have been busy behind the scenes here.  I turned in my third fabric collection last week, so there hasn't been much sewing going on! I'm excited to get back to my machine this week and maybe even start a few new things!

I did manage to whip up a (late!) block to send to quilts for Boston a few weeks back! It felt good to be at the sewing machine and also to contribute something to their cause!

Nordika Launch Party by Jeni Baker

Before we dive too far into this post, I want to invite you all to a party! If you're local, join us July 12th from 6-8pm at The Sewcial Lounge for a Nordika Launch Party! There will be treats and refreshments and we will be giving away some fabric too! There is a Facebook event for the party here. A big thanks to Sara for hosting this event and for her support! Hope to see you there!

I have a few fun magazine features to share with you! I made this Offset Quilt featuring Color Me Retro early this year for the May/June Issue of Quilty! You can find the full pattern in this issue along with lots of other great quilts! The folks at Quilty also have a kit available for this pattern on their website! You can find it here.  You can find a copy of this issue on newsstands and on their website, here.

In the August/September issue of Quilt magazine, you can find this fantastic Blueberry Parfait quilt designed by the Art Gallery Fabrics team! They were kind enough to feature Color Me Retro in this fun quilt! Fat Quarter Shop has put together a kit for this quilt pattern, which you can find here! You can find this issue on newsstands.

Finally, you can find a quick and easy Coffee Cozy pattern featuring Nordika in Issue 5 of Sew-it... Today! The extra cool thing about this feature, is that I took the photo! It was a little nerve wracking but fun to be involved in that part of the process! Plus, it was an excuse to buy fancy muffins!  You can find this issue on newsstands soon!

Droste's Cocoa Tin by Jeni Baker

In other non-sewing news, I had some fun mail arrive last week! Last year I spotted a vintage Droste's Cocoa tin at a local antique mall.  Unfortunately it was really pricey. I love tins though, so I searched Etsy a few times looking for one.  They were either not in good enough condition or too expensive.  Finally last week the stars aligned!  It's in nearly perfect condition and was about a third of the price of the first one I saw.  Isn't it pretty? I actually use this brand of cocoa too, cool!

George by Jeni Baker

George! He's shedding right now.  It almost makes it look like he has gray fur on his head, haha!

Today I love the..
Smell of: New conditioner
Sound of: Mad Men
Taste of: Trail mix cookies
Sight of: Sunshine
Feel of: Cool breeze

Good Things about Today:
- Michael stayed home from work!
- Happy mail!
- Hung up a few new quilts!
- Trying out one pan pasta tonight!
