Floral Burst Embroidery Pattern

Wednesday, November 21, 2012

Happy Wednesday! It's the middle of a crazy week for many of us! Today was baking day here, two pies and rolls.  Now to tackle the dirty dishes and start all over again tomorrow!

Today I want to share with you my newest pattern, Floral Burst! It's something different for me, an embroidery pattern! I had so much fun stitching this up, and I hope you will too!

The pattern is based on the Kitchenette print from Color Me Retro.  I can't wait for yardage to arrive so I can use it in a patchwork project! The colors I used match the print in Honeydew.  When the fabric gets closer to shipping I'll be sharing all the Art Gallery Fabrics blenders and solids, Aurifil thread colors, and DMC floss colors that match the line to make things easy for you!

PDF Pattern includes printable pattern, DMC floss colors, stitch chart, and backstitch instructions.  It's suitable for beginning stitchers and comes together really fast!

You can find the pattern in my shop!

Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. This would look great on a pillow using your fabric as the back. Or as the back using your fabric as the front ;) Can't lose either way.

  2. Very cool! I didn't know that you did embroidery. :) I'd love to stitch this on a darker fabric in brighter thread colors.

  3. Sweet! We did cookies last night now to start the big cooking... thank heaven for double ovens. Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving!

  4. Do you use your vintage dishware to cook with? I mean... it is pretty indestructible, some of it, right? Embroidery, fun!!! Happy tday.

  9. Move the needle in toward the patch center inch and sew a second row of stitches, in the shape of the triangle along the edges using a running stitch. Turn the silk inside out. Lay the patched rip/hole onto a flat surface. Thanks a lot.
