Happy Sunday! It's been a beautiful Spring today here in Wisconsin. The day started off with the first session of a Introduction to Quilting class at The Sewcial Lounge and will end tonight with the season 6 premiere of Mad Men! Busy quilting and cleaning in between.
I took a break from things I had to do yesterday to stitch up something that's been in the back of my mind for a while. I have been thinking a lot again about Kaleidoscope quilts lately. I love the way they look but I really dislike the cutting involved. So I thought why not paper piece it? I'm still playing around with it, but I think it's going to be much more my speed!
I'm super excited (and honored!) to be a guest on Pat Sloan's radio show, American Patchwork & Quilting Radio, tomorrow afternoon! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tiny bit nervous! I hope you'll listen in if you have the time! It will be live at 4:00pm EST (3:00pm CST), and will be available to listen afterwards as well! Tune in here to listen tomorrow!

Another exciting thing to announce, I have a quilt pattern included in this book coming in October from Stash Books, Modern Bee: 13 Quilts To Make With Friends. It was compiled by Lindsay Conner of Lindsay Sews and based around a virtual quilting bee that started last year. Lindsay Conner has set up a website for the book if you're interested in more information! I'll be sharing my quilt later this year!
The book will hit stores October 1st, 2013, but can be pre-ordered now.
In other less exciting news, my hot pink iron bit the dust this week. I managed to knock it off the ironing board a record three times this week, and the third fall finally killed it. I tried my best to get it back together but no luck. I replaced it with the same thing, but unfortunately it doesn't come in pink anymore. Oh well, charcoal gray is nice too!

Happy Thursday! Hope you're all having an enjoyable week! I don't have anything too exciting to share today, but rather a few housekeeping type things!
First and foremost, you may have heard that as of July 1st, Google Reader will disappear. I'm pretty bummed, and was really hoping maybe they'd change their minds, but it seems that it will indeed go away. I haven't found an alternative that I'm super crazy about yet, but Blog Lovin' has been the best contender so far. In Color Order is on there, so you can follow there if you'd like! Either way, if you follow using Google Reader, you'll need to find an alternative way to get updates! I link to all the posts on Facebook and on Twitter too!
Now onto a slightly more serious matter. I have gone back and forth about this for quite a while and honestly didn't really have a straightforward policy about it. After chatting with a friend last month about this subject, it made me realize that I needed to be more specific and really make a decision about it. I want you to know, that you are free to create items from my tutorials and sell them on a small scale: in your online shop, at craft fairs, to your neighbor, for charity etc. I just ask that you please give credit to Incolororder.com!
This however does not apply to the actual physical tutorial. Please don't copy, redistribute, or sell the actual tutorial. They are a lot of work and that wouldn't be very nice! Thank you for understanding!
I've added these terms to the top of the tutorial page and to the bottom of the main page for your reference. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask!
On a similar note, you'll also notice a disclaimer at the bottom of every page. I do receive compensation through my sponsorships, and sometimes fabric, books, or notions as well as compensation through affiliate links (Amazon). I just want to be transparent, because I don't want anyone to feel like they're being taken for a ride! These things help me keep the blog running and feed George the Rabbit lots of carrots!
Now for happier, lighter things! I've been slowly re-doing all of the pages found in the tabs above! Most recently my About page. You can now learn all kinds of funny things about me! I'd love to add more, so ask away, tell me what you want to know!

Happy Tuesday! I hope it's starting to look more like Spring wherever you are! It's finally starting to warm up here. We have had a few days of perfectly clear blue skies and sunshine. It's amazing how different everything looks when the sun is shining!
The beautiful weather had me pulling out my vintage sheet collection today. I haven't made a vintage sheet quilt since last year's patchwork prism quilt, and I really can't wait to make another. It's going to have to wait a bit longer, but this summer for sure. Just need to decide on the perfect pattern!
I spent a little time sewing a just for fun project with Amanda and Jacey last week. I made a log cabin pincushion and they made a sewing organizer, both projects from Liberty Love by Alexia Abegg. I need to get a proper photo of my finished cushion!
The last two Fat Quarter Gang Tutorials have not only featured Color Me Retro, but my name as well! Sweet Shannon Cook of Luvinthemommyhood shared the Jeni Reversible Apron Tutorial last week! I can't wait to stitch one up to match my kitchen!
This week, Katy Jones of I'm A Ginger Monkey shared the Jeni Gym Bag Tutorial! I love the giant grommets, I can definitely think of lots uses for this bag!
