New Necklace, originally uploaded by jenib320.
I have been on the lookout for a metal bobbin since seeing this necklace on pinterest. I am happy to report I found one for $.10 thrifting this weekend! Yummy Park Slope yardage came today, splitting it with a friend :)

Folksy Flannels, originally uploaded by jenib320.
Found some time to work on my Folksy Flannels quilt yesterday! I'm making a plus quilt! Megan had mentioned something about using my Plus Quilt Tutorial for her FF stash and I could not get the idea out of my head! So I must admit to being a total copy cat! ;)

Sight of: George
Feel of: Cool pillows

Good Things about Today:

  5. This is the first time I've seen an oversized plus design. I like how it has all the movement of a plus quilt without being busy. Nice composition!

  8. I've only just found your blog so I'm reading it waaay later than it was written. This post made me smile lots though - I see on my Nan's old Singer machine and it uses those bobbins. I never even thought of them as anything other than little pieces of normality.
