Happy Wednesday! I am super excited to FINALLY share some new quilt patterns with you! They've been a long time coming, the Florette pattern in particular has been in the works since Fall 2012! Crazy! Things kept getting pushed back because of deadlines and such, but it's finally time! Can you tell I'm super happy? I am just glad to be getting these out into the world!
I'm only going to chat briefly about each pattern today, next week I'll go more in depth about each pattern! PDFs are available now (25% off!), and paper patterns will be here next week!
First up is Triangularity. This is a simple and straightforward equilateral triangle quilt. In this pattern there are five sizes to choose from: Baby, Throw, Twin, Full/Queen, and King. I show you how to cut triangles using a standard acrylic ruler, but there is a template included too. Finally, I walk you through designing your own custom sized quilt (with your choice of triangle size!).
The cover quilt is the Throw size and it's made up in Luxe in Bloom by Sarah Watson for Art Gallery Fabrics along with various blenders. It was quilted by Melissa Kelley of Sew Shabby Quilting!
You can find the PDF available here.
The next pattern is Florette. This one has been such a labor of love! There are two different block sizes to choose from, and it also comes in five sizes. So you've got ten different options right off the bat!
The cover quilt is the Twin size, made with 15" blocks. It's made up in my Color Me Retro fabric collection and finished off with Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Elements. It was quilted by Melissa Kelley of Sew Shabby Quilting!
You can find the PDF available here.
Finally, there is the Shining Stars Sampler. This may look familiar, this quilt was originally a block of the month club at Pink Castle Fabrics! There are six different star blocks, sewn in two sizes. The blocks are sashed to make them float across the quilt. This quilt measures 60"x80".
The cover quilt was sewn up with my Color Me Retro fabric collection and Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Elements. It was quilted by Melissa Averinos of Yummy Goods!
You can find the PDF available here. If you're a shop that would like to carry any of these patterns, send me an email or use the form under the Wholesale tab!

Happy Thursday! Things have been a bit quiet on the blog front, but they haven't been quiet here at home! I've been giving our apartment a complete overhaul! Lots of pictures to come when everything is done. Today I want to share a few recent magazine features before they're off the stands!
You'll find two things from me in the Winter 2014 issue of Modern Quilts Unlimited. The first is an article about working with color! This one was really fun for me to write. It was great revisiting my Art of Choosing series and pull out the best bits for this article.
The second is a project, my Fly North Pillow made up in Nordika. This pillow packs a lot of punch and uses half-square triangles. It was a fun one!
You can find Modern Quilts Unlimited issue on their website here, or on newsstands.
This next feature was a surprise! I was so happy to see my Nordika collection featured in this beautiful Date Night quilt pattern by Leah Farquharson in issue 36 of Mollie Makes!
This issue is on newsstands now! You can also buy issues here.
My column in issue 4 of Love, Patchwork & Quilting is all about making and keeping crafty goals! Here in the states this issue should be arriving on newsstands soon! You can also buy this issue here.
Fancy a digital copy of Issue 4 of Love, Patchwork, & Quilting? Lucky you, from February 28th (tomorrow!) 9am GMT to March 4th, 9am GMT you can get a copy for free! Here are the details:
All you need to do is download the iTunes app - http://tinyurl.com/n5fswod - open up issue 4 of Love Patchwork & Quilting (that's the one with the gorgeous butterfly quilt on the cover!) and click on the 'voucher' icon. Then enter in code: MADNESS14 and 'submit' and you can download the issue right away – easy, peasy!
Thanks Love, Patchwork & Quilting!
My column for issue 5 of Love, Patchwork & Quilting focuses on social media and quilting! This was a really interesting topic to think more about! This issue will arrive on newsstands in the states in a few weeks!
