New Bag by jenib320

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a good week so far! Since the sewing machine situation is still a little dire around here, I've been planning more than I've been stitching! :)

I got the itch for a new purse so last night I cut into some Ruby Star Shining by Melody Miller for another 241 Tote! I think it is my favorite of Anna's patterns, it comes together super quickly and the size is just right! You can find it and her other patterns here.

Other fabrics are So Sophie by Riley Blake, Authentic by Sweetwater, and some Kona, Curry I think!

I was a lucky recipient of some Kona Modern Quilts by Cynthia Frenette, a new line by Robert Kaufman featuring modern cheater-like prints. The line is due out in June! This particular print is destined to become a new pair of pajama pants for myself!  I think I'm going to use the PJ pattern in Weekend Sewing, has anyone tried it? Deedee kindly passed the book along to me!

Speaking of The Sewcial Lounge, there are still two spots left in my Modern Quilting Series class this Saturday (it stretches over two weekends!) for anyone local interested in learning quilting basics, we make a simple baby quilt from start to finish!  Another exciting event, Amanda Jean Nyberg will be at The Sewcial Lounge next week signing her book, Sunday Morning Quilts, Thursday, May 10th at 6:30pm! :)

  1. Hi Jeni, I was wondering if you could tell me the fabric line or the name of that newspaper-like fabric in the first photo of this post? I love newspaper fabrics, but I'm having a hard time finding any in google searches.

Also, I love the patchwork prisms!

  2. I am looking for it as well. Actually, I am looking for any really good text prints or a text swap.
